Playing Bingo is plain and simple, but most of the time, callers use terms that can be quite confusing to the uninitiated and returning players.  These terms have been with the game for the longest time, and it has been part of the so-called entertainment value of the game.  So before you get lost with some terms used in the all-time game, here are some words you might want to remember.

A Blackout or Coverall is a pattern in bingo game where you have to mark out all the numbers in one card to win.  This bingo game usually takes longer for one to win the pot, making it popular for those who wish to extend the length of tie they play.

The Dauber is something the player uses to mark the numbers called on their cards.  In brick-and-mortar bingo halls, a foam-tip pen is used to daub the number drawn.  This pen allows the player to mark the number called without hiding the entire number.

When you hear the caller say Eyes Down, it simply means the game is about to begin and you need to set your eyes down to look after your card.

If the caller said Four Corners, he’s most probably referring to a pattern where, in order to win, a player needs to cover all numbers in the corner.

Think twice before joining Hardway Bingo Game.  The game is a straight line bingo game.  Unlike your normal classic bingo, the cards used in this game lacks the free space other cards have.

Money Ball is a lucky number.  The caller usually draws this number before drawing numbers for the game.  If the caller successfully draws the number and the player hits the number of his card, a special prize will be given.

Pattern is the winning design that the players need to daub in order to win.  There are many patterns used in bingo game, each with their own difficulty level and payout rates.  Three of these patterns were mentioned in this article - the Blackout, the Four Corners, and the Six/Nine Pack.

Six-Pack or Nine Pack is a winning pattern in bingo game.  To win its corresponding payout, the player has to be able to daub six or nine numbers on a block.

If the caller shouts Wrap Up, it simply means the players are down to the last game for the Bingo series.
